St. George Animal Shelter has many wonderful cats, kittens, dogs and pups. All animals adopted are required to be spayed and neutered, which will be payed for at the time of adoption. The animals who are adopted from the shelter receive a free health exam from participating veterinarians in our area within 3 days of adoption.

Who We Are
We are a city-owned and city-operated animal shelter in St. George, Utah, and we try to find good homes for the animals who are brought into the shelter. Our employees are city employees and part of the St. George Police Department. You will meet the shelter personnel when you visit the shelter.
Adopting a friend
The adoption fee for any of the shelter animals is $20, which includes a free preliminary vet check at a participating veterinarian in our area within 3 days of adoption. The spay and neuter fees range from $40-$105 depending on animal species, sex, and size. The spay and neuter fees do not apply to animals already sterilized.
Come Visit Us!
The easiest way to find us is to come to 1000 East from either east or west on St. George Boulevard. Turn north on 1000 East and go to the stop sign - then turn left on Skyline and follow it until you see the sign for our shelter. Our NEW hours are 10am to 7pm Monday through Friday, and 10 to 12 on Saturday.
