Who We Are
We here at Sadie's Safe Haven For Animals in Southern Utah want to provide a good experience for both our furry friends and their prospective parents. We are very focused on both parties being happy with each other.
SSHFA believes firmly in education and networking with other rescue groups and helping each other as much as possible. We are more powerful together than seperate.
Some of us are currently on a mission here in Southern Utah to get a much needed state of the art County Animal Shelter. Here in Washington County, we can only hold a total of 116 animals in our shelters with 1000 plus residents moving in each month, so for the little guys that leaves the rest up to us and community support, please keep a look out on our once a month meetings. (Dixie Animal Alliance) and bring all and any ideas to help make this work.
We work very hard to make sure that no one has a bad experience and that the stray and unwanted animals are well taken care of: Proper food, attention, vet care and housing. As any rescue group may tell you, their passion for animals, community support and donations is what keeps us going.
Adopting a friend
To ensure that everyone has a good experience we do require that any adoptive parents fill out an application and allow reference checks and home checks.
We also have a foster to adopt program which allows you to foster your potential family member to be sure that it will work for the both of you. A trial period will be allowed and when we know both are happy we will then finish our adoption process. (home checks and phone references are still required.
Our dogs are $100. and Cats are $65. this includes; all shots, spay/neutered, information that may help you understand your friend, food, and a 2 week guarantee. SEE OUR WEBSITE AT www.ssha.us
