We believe all of our animals are featured pets and know you will too
News
We also encourage teachers, parents, scout groups and families to get involved with our educational programs! We offer several hands on presentations for children and adults of all ages. Children can have the experience of interacting with well behaved dogs, cats, a turtle and snake. Children can also learn fun games to play with their pets at home and the importance of providing fresh water, proper shade and making a pet part of the family. We also offer helpful suggestions on how to choose a pet, breeds that are good with children, how to introduce baby to your family pet and introducing your new pet to your children.
Who We Are
BAM is a nonprofit, animal welfare group dedicated to reducing animal abuse and neglect through education. We also help support our local shelters by taking animals into foster care. BAM does not have a shelter or public facility. All of our animals stay in homes of caring individuals who volunteer their time to help socialize and train them so they are ready for their new families. If you are interested in fostering an animal please call J @ 435-773-5209.
We offer a program at two local libraries called Reading With Duffy where children can come and either have a story read to them and Duffy or they can choose to read to Duffy. Duffy is a cock-a-poo that was rescued from a puppy mill and is making his place in BAM history at this time. BAM also has a program entitled Kibbles on Wheels. We joined with the local Council on Aging and provide kibbles for cats and dogs owned by eligible recipients of Meals on Wheels. All of our programs are donation based.
Adopting a friend
Adopting a forever friend can be easy. Call or e-mail and we can make arrangements for a personal visit. Phone lines are open between 9am-4pm, if no one is available be sure to leave a detailed, clear message with name and phone number. Our animals are healthy, up to date on their shots and spayed or neutered. Adoption fees cover the costs for spay/neuter, shots, and some training provided while the animal is in foster care. BAM requires that all interested adopters complete an application form. We reserve the right to make a home visit to see that our adopted animals and their new families are happy together.
