Directions
From PEARLAND - head south on 288, turn right on TX 35 heading towards Bay City, (45 minutes from this point) in Bay City turn left on TX 60 travel 1.8 miles, turn left on Palm Village Blvd. Blue signs will direct you to the impound from this point. From SUGAR LAND - head south on TX 35, turn left on FM 102 go 1.5 mi, turn right on N. Richmond Rd (TX 60) go 0.5 mi, turn left on W Caney St go 0.3 mi, turn right on N. Resident St go 0.1 mi, turn left on TX-60 go 26.8 miles to the intersection with Hwy 35. Continue on Hwy 60 for 1.8 miles, turn left on Palm Village Blvd. Blue signs will direct you to the impound from this point.
Who We Are
The Bay City/Matagorda County Impound is a public facility serving the city of Bay City and Matagorda County. We do not offer any sort of medical evaluations, treatments, or guarantees. We recommend that people adopting our animals have the animal's health checked by the veterinarian of their choice.
Adopting a friend
Animals are kept for a 72 hr. holding period to allow owners time to reclaim their pets. Unclaimed pets at the Impound Facility can be adopted with a fee, directly from the impound or can be released to rescue groups or organizations without a fee.
Adult animals must be spayed or neutered within 30 days at your expense. Puppies and kittens must be spayed or neutered when age appropriate. Proof of spay/neutering is required by law. Failure to do so can result in a $500.00 fine.
