Who We Are

TvA – Texas volunteers for AMAL -- is a small group of Malamute lovers dedicated to the rescue and appropriate placement of Alaskan Malamutes who have lost their homes. We work under the authority of the Alaskan Malamute Assistance League and abide by their Code of Ethics. The Alaskan Malamute Assistance League is the national rescue for Alaskan Malamutes sanctioned by the Alaskan Malamute Club of America and listed by the American Kennel Club.

Adopting a friend

The adoption process entails completing an application which enables us to determine which dog might best match the needs of a particular person/family. Submitting an application does not obligate one to adopt a dog, but it is vital to the matching process. A home visit conducted by appointment is required. We love our foster dogs and need to see where they will live. We provide back up and support services to our adoptive families for the life of their dog. We want to keep in touch.
