Treasured Friends takes pride in being one of the first Neuter-Before-Adoption rescues in the North Texas area.

Who We Are

Treasured Friends is a 501(c) (3) not-for-profit, all-volunteer, no-kill animal rescue  organization founded in 1999.

Our mission is to responsibly rehome unwanted animals with a precise pre-adoption  program  after social or health rehabilitation of the companion animals and decrease the  number of animals being born with our policy of no adoption until spay/neutered.

We rescue all breeds of dogs and cats from  animal control, owner surrenders and feral cats. At  this time we do not have a shelter so all our animals are in foster care. All the money that  is donated or from adoptions is applied  towards the animals. There is no salary to pay as we are all volunteers. We test all our animals for  heartworm in dogs, Aids/Leukemia in cats.  We immunize and sterilize all the animals.

Adopting a Forever Friend

All of our animals are spayed/neutered before placement. Dogs are tested for Heartworm, Cats for Feline Aids and Leukemia. They are all indoor only. If you find an animal you are interested in giving a forever home, please visit our website, print out and submit a pre-adopt form.  If you do not own your home written permission must be submitted by landlord before adoption will be approved. Please access our website for information on adopting.  We are accepting applications from the Dallas area and surrounding cities ONLY.
