We provide temporary care for stray, abandoned, and unwanted cats, maintain records on lost/found pets, and seek homes for pet adoptions. We are advocates of TNR and help the community to relieve the overpopulation of feral cats. We work to reduce feline euthanasia in our community by requiring 100% spay/neuter prior to adoption of all cats in our care. We are not a shelter but I have many resources and can help with strays and/or ferals.

A volunteer organization that rescues, feeds, and cares for homeless cats. Our mission is to rescue abused, neglected and/or unwanted animals and give them a new home. We are primarily a volunteer organization, while we have a small sanctuary we are mostly non-sheltered.
Prospective adopters are screened to ensure the success of their new pet adoption. The perfect adopter is one who is committed and humanely responsible. Veterinarian references are preferred but not always necessary. If you have lots of love to give, we want to talk to you!
There is a $50 adoption fee for all the cats, except for other Rescues the fee will be waived.

All cats listed on this site have been free-living in a home setting (with lots of other cats plus a large dog). All of Kathy's cats receive complete veterinary care. Adults are up to date on shots and are spayed or neutered upon arrival. We will tell you what care kittens still require upon adoption. Kathy knows the personality of each intimately and is excellent at matching the right person with the right feline friend. She also has friendly, healthy, sterilized cats who choose to stay outdoors and would be perfect barn cats.

Volunteers are needed to help with fundraising, reception work, cleaning, and/or socializing the cats every day between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Volunteers of any age are welcome! Please call Kathy at 254-519-CATS to learn how you can help the homeless cats and kittens. Kathy is also looking for volunteers to offer special foster care to needy cats: tiny kittens who must be bottle-fed, adults recovering from major surgery, very shy or scared surrendered cats who need extra attention.
