About Us
The
Animal Care & Control Facility is staffed and operated by the City of
Universal City. Homes for the Homeless,
Inc. (the City's designated humane organization) through fundraising and
donations provide the monetary support to fund the spay
or neuter of all adopted animals, as well as the veterinary expenses of our
animals.
Adopting a Pet
You
can view all our dogs and cats available for adoption right here on Petfinder,
or feel free to come by and visit our animals at our facility. The entire
ACCF staff welcomes you and will be happy to assist you in any way they can. Our adoption fee of $65.00 includes spay or
neuter, vaccinations, de-worming, and microchip. We also heartworm test our dogs. All our adoptions come with 30 days of free
pet health care insurance.

Volunteers
We
have a small staff and are seeking dedicated individuals to become part of our
volunteer program. We depend on the help
and support our volunteers provide. All volunteers must be at least 13 years of
age (those ages 13-15 must be accompanied by an adult), attend a volunteer
orientation and shelter tour. To learn
more about our volunteer program, or attend an upcoming volunteer orientation which is held every 3rd Saturday of each month, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator,
We must all reach out to everyone in our
communities to practice responsible pet ownership, the benefits of spaying and
neutering and the importance of licensing and microchipping
pets and to remember that pet ownership is a life long commitment.
