We have chosen Kuranda dog beds for our boarding facilities because they are so good for our dogs. We still don't have enough for all of our kennels. If you would like to donate a bed so another dog can sleep in proper comfort, please click here.
Our Featured Pet...
"Beetle Bailey" is now our featured pet. He's an adult basset hound/beagle mix that reallly needs a home of his own. Bailey is very well mannered and gets along great with other dogs and loves children. He weighs about 40 lbs and is a short guy. Please let us know if you would like to meet this great guy, you will be very glad you did!
News
Any donations of blankets, pillows, towels, dog houses, wood shavings, or any other item that you think would be of use will greatly be appreciated. We are also looking for new loving and caring foster homes, so if you think you would want to foster one of our rescues please let us know. We are also in the process of trying to raise money to build new, more permanent dog kennels. We hope to have them constructed sometime in the near future.
Who We Are
Left Behind Animal Rescue is a non profit organization located in north Texas that is dedicated to saving the lives of animals in need. Most of our animals come from shelters or are surrendered by their previous owners. We are an all breed rescue but mostly rescue large breed dogs like st bernards, bloodhounds, and mastiffs, plus any other large breed(or small) in need. All of our rescues are cared for in loving family environments while they wait for their new homes.
Adopting a friend
If interested in adopting one of our recues you will be asked to fill out an adoption application. All animals are place in homes that we feel are right for them. Adoption fees vary based on the animals medical needs. All animals will receive their BASIC shots and will be spayed/neutered before going to their new homes. Please understand that rescued animals sometimes come from bad situations and need a little extra love and understanding. There is no guarantee where the animal came from, their past living situations, or what they have been exposed to in the past. Please consider all these factors BEFORE deciding to adopt a rescued pet. If you decide to adopt a rescue it will definitely be well worth your effort and you will be rewarded with lots of love in return! Please think about ALL of this BEFORE you inquire about one of our rescues. It is not fair for them to come back into rescue because their new family didn't think things through before adopting!
