TO INQUIRE ABOUT ADOPTING AN ANIMAL YOU HAVE SEEN ON OUR SITE:
Please follow the steps below to ensure speedy processing of your application to adopt an animal.
Complete an adoption application in its entirety from our website at www.GDRescueEP.org/application.html If you are interested in a particular pet that you saw on one of the pet adoption sites; please indicate this on the application. Please do not call and ask if you can meet our dogs (our rescued dogs reside in people's homes) without first having submitted an application.
A representative from GDREP will contact you as soon as possible.
Our dogs reside in our volunteer foster homes; we do not have a shelter facility where you can come view them at. In order to visit our pets, we must first have your application on hand, and have had time to review it. Once your application has been reviewed you will be contacted by the foster parents who can answer your questions about the dog/s that interests you, and an appointment can then be made to visit.

**Attention!** Due to the recent influx of Great Danes and other animals being turned over to us at this time, we ask that you be patient with us in our responses to your applications. Your inquiry and interest in adopting one of our animals is very important to us and we will respond as quickly as possible.

We need individuals or families who are knowledgable in pet care and who have a sincere interest in helping animals to provide temporary housing and love to our rescued Danes until they are adopted into their forever home. Who We Are
The Great Dane Rescue of El Paso is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) Non-Profit, breed specific rescue organization. Our mission is to provide medical care, love, training, and permanent placement for abandoned, abused, neglected, and owner surrendered Great Danes.

Our funding comes solely from private donations, fundraisers, and adoption fees. All contributions go toward the cost of caring for the Danes including medical expenses, food costs, supplies, and transporting animals. All monetary contributions are greatly needed and appreciated! Our current Item Wishlist includes: extra large dog crates, towels, comforters, dog toys, stainless steel dog dishes, extra large collars, leashes.
Adopting a friend
We seek to bring these forgotten or unwanted companions back to good health if needed, evaluate their temperament, and screen potential homes to ensure a good fit between Dane and family. All rescued Danes remain in a home with "foster parents" until an appropriate forever home can be found.
All adopted Danes are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with vaccinations, and treated for any obvious illnesses or injuries.

We would love the opportunity to meet with you to discuss volunteer opportunities and provide information on any questions you may have. Because we do not have a physical shelter facility, all of our adoptable animals reside in temporary foster homes with volunteers who have agreed to allow them into their homes.
