San Antonio Feral Cat Coalition (SAFCC), a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Corporation, is organized to address issues related to feral cats in the San Antonio area. We are all volunteers and serve to improve the welfare of feral cats in our community through a variety of means to reduce their populations through humane programs.

Even though our primary mission is to work on feral cat issues, we devote considerable time to adopting out TAME kittens and adult cats. One of the basic tenets of managing feral cats is that adoptable adult cats that are often discovered in colonies (usually dumped there by uncaring people who don't want their pet cat anymore) are removed and vetted prior to placing them for adoption. Young kittens, born to feral mom cats, are also removed and socialized and vetted prior to placing them for adoption. There is absolutely no difference between these tame adult cats and kittens that we place for adoption and those that you will find at any shelter, except ours are lovingly fostered and socialized in our foster homes (which makes them even sweeter in our opinion!).
Our rescued tame cats are all privately fostered in homes throughout the San Antonio metro area.

We may require that a home visit be done prior to adoption. If we determine there is a good match for adoption, we also require completion of a contract.
We usually hold adoptions on Saturdays and Sundays at PetSmart, located at 12960 Park Central, San Antonio, TX 78216 (near Hwy 281 and Bitters Rd.). [Map]
