Petite Paws Pet Advocates is a 501(c)3 non-profit animal rescue group based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area of North Texas. We primarily rescue Pekingese and occasionally take other small breeds as space permits in our foster program.
Harley died from complications of heartworm treatment, surrounded by the squeak toys he loved. This sweet boy's life was cut short by something preventable - if only he had been given a chance. We mourn his passing and ask you to remember to give your dog or cat monthly heartworm prevention medicine.

Jelly is a two year old Japanese Chin. She was surrendered to an area shelter when her owners could not afford medical care for her. She is in very poor condition and the shelter could not place her for adoption due to the skin condition so that is when we stepped in. Our vet dx'd her with demodex mange and ringworms. She has started the intial treatment but it will require ongoing treatments to competely get rid of the mange and ringworms.
Adopting a friend
Petite Paws Pet Advocates requires a completed adoption application, reference checks, and home screening. The adoption donation is 50.00 -- 150.00 which helps to defray a portion of the medical care costs related to rescuing the animals. This fee goes toward the vet costs for the animal to be completely vetted, which includes a physical examination, brought up-to-date on vaccinations, rabies vaccination, tested for heartworms, treatment if necessary, monthly heartworm prevention, spayed or neutered and any medications that the animal may need during their stay in foster care. We also provide food, love, attention, and training while in foster care, and provide you with information about their habits, traits and qualities through fostering.
