Who We Are

ART is an all-volunteer, non-profit animal rescue organization. Our mission is to save lives, keep our community informed on humane education and treatment of our companions, and finding the best fit for both these animal companions and potential forever families!

We are not a shelter. Our animals stay in loving foster homes where they are socialized, loved and evaluated to determine the best type of environment for their personalities. All animals are first taken to one of our wonderful vets for a full work up, including spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations (Rabies, Distemper, Parvo and Bordetella), worming, and heartworm testing.

All dogs in our care are on heartworm preventative the minute they arrive. If a dog is tested positive for heartworms, we will take him through the entire treatment until free of heartworms. This disease is 100% PREVENTABLE with a once a month pill!!!! Please contact us if you would like more information.

Want to Volunteer? WE NEED YOU!

There are many opportunities to volunteer with ART. We can?t save any lives without our fosters, so whether you are an experienced foster or a novice, we provide you with the best resources to help you help the animals, including training and behavior assistance when needed. All supplies are provided -- crate, food, leash, harness, etc. and you decide what type of dog is best suitable for you.

We also need help with fundraisers, marketing, returning phone calls, adoption counselors, transporting animals from foster homes to vets, etc. There are lots of opportunities at ART!

If you are interested in spending even a little of your free time helping the homeless animals in ART, please contact us at artadoptions@yahoo.com

Adopting a friend

Our process starts with an adoption application to get to know your needs and wants in an animal companion. Every animal's temperament is different, even within breeds, so the more information we share, the better placement we can make for you and our animals. We do a phone interview, a home visit and a vet check to ensure the best possible placement that will last a lifetime. If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs, please email us at artadoptions@yahoo.com and we will send you an adoption application.

Donations

Monetary donations are always welcome and can be mailed to the address below. We will send you a tax-deductible receipt. You can also make a donation in honor or in memory of a beloved human or animal friend. Please send the name of the person or pet for honor or memorial, and also the name and address of the person to receive the acknowledgement of your gift.
