Sierra is a two year old, female Australian Cattle Dog - a blue heeler. Sierra does well on lead and stays close when walking off lead. She is active and would make a terrific partner in Frisbee or agility. Sierra is a sassy alpha female who would do best with a male dog. She is spayed and UTD on shots. We will be holding adoptions at the Petco on Mason Rd on Saturdays from 11-4.
Who We Are
We are a small group of volunteers committed to changing the plight of the dogs of the Brookshire Pound from one of certain death to giving each homeless animal a chance for adoption. As of March 2007 we have not had to bear any being euthanized but our situation is critical. The city ordered all our animals be euthanized and we barely got them all out by the deadline. We made the deadline but are know faced with the huge kennel charges. We are always in desperate need of foster homes which will save us kennel charges and has the added benefit of getting them out of the small runs they wait in 24 hours a day. Please give of your home and heart and offer one of our furry friends the gift of time.

Adopting a friend
All the dogs adopted from the Zeke Fund are spayed or neutered, wormed, tested for heart-worms, up-to-date on shots, and have their rabies certification.
Normally puppies can not be "fixed" until 4 to 6 months of age. We can adopt them prior to that but the puppy must be spayed/neutered at the appropriate age by our vet at no additional cost to you.

With the never ending commitment and devotion of our volunteers, the Zeke Fund is now conducting adoptions at PETCO at Mason Road. Many of our four legged friends that were left abandoned to die, were taken in and have found their own forever homes via these adoption outlets. Adoptions at PETCO in Katy are every every Saturday from 11am to 4pm.
