We have some really great young dogs and older dogs. Don't pass these by without a look because dogs that are a little older have already passed through that "puppy stage" where they just might eat your favorite pair of shoes! These dogs have a lot of love to give and even if they are a combination of several breeds you are getting the best of each and they make some of the most wonderful, loyal pets you will ever have! We are looking for responsible people who love animals to help with fostering. It is a rewarding adventure and helps us to save more lives. We also need volunteers to help with fundraisers, adoption days and many other things. Give us a call, come to our meeting or email us. We need you!
Who We Are
The Jasper Lakes Area Humane Society is a group of VERY hardworking people that can't stand to see animals homeless or suffering. We do not have a facility in which to keep animals, so our organization uses foster homes to keep as many as we can. Our foster homes are limited but we do the best we can. We have adoption days when weather permits (it is too hot in the summer), where our pets can be seen and we are constantly having some type of fundraiser to earn the money needed to keep our organization going.
We now have a Spay Neuter Program to help in offering low cost spay and neuter to low income families and the elderly so they can get their pets fixed. You have to call us at 409-381-8488 and leave your name and number, a brief description of the dog or cat and if it needs spayed or neutered. Someone will get back with you and an appointment will be setup. We have also received a grant that will cover the cost of spay or neuter of dogs over 45 lbs so be sure to ask us about that program also! We love being able to help in any way we can! Spay and Neuter is the answer to the overpopulation problem so get your pet fixed today!

If you are looking for a pet please consider a shelter pet or foster pet. These animals are looking for that second chance at a wonderful life in a forever home. Some have been mistreated, neglected or possibly just abandoned; but no matter what their story is, they will give you a lot of love and happiness in your life and you will have saved theirs! Save a life today and remember that spaying and neutering your pets is the answer to overpopulation!

There is no shelter yet, but we do have a small office on 2nd street in Jasper. Contact us if you are interested in seeing any of our pets and we will schedule a time to meet you, or let you know when and where our next adoption event will be.
