Who We Are

We are the Animal Shelter for the City of Brownfield. Animals in this shelter are picked up by Animal Control Officers, Police Officers, or Sheriffs Deputies. These animals are found running at large; brought in from outside the city limits; given over to us by previous owners for various reasons.

Adopting a Friend

Adopting a Friend is easy, just contact the Brownfield Police Department and let them know you want to see the animals that are up for adoption. Meet with the Animal Control Officer at the shelter and pick out the animal you would like. Take the animal out into the backyard to play and see if it likes you. When you find the animal you would like to adopt, just fill out an adoption form provided by the Animal Control Officer. Once you have completed the adoption form make payment to the Brownfield City Hall for the amount of $89 dollars for adoption. The $89 dollar adoption fee pays for the animal to get a city registration tag, rabies vaccination tag, wellness check-up, deworm, and get fixed at the Terry County Vet.

Come Visit Us!

We are located in the Coleman Park, southwest of the Brownfield Aquatic Center. The Animal Shelter is open from 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday. Contact the Brownfield Police Department for an Animal Control Officer to meet you at the shelter.
