I started my rescue in Dallas and have been able to enlarge my kennels and house more dogs since we moved back to the ranch in Central Texas. There are many unwanted and neglected dogs in this rural area.
My focus for the past 2 years has been pregnant or nursing mothers in shelters all over Texas. So much time is involved with babies and also comes the increased risk of the diseases puppies are susceptible to. The increased time and energy involved in the care of these small creatures is tedious, but so rewarding. Many shelters euthanize pregnant dogs even if they are only days from delivering.
I occasionally experience the heartache of losing one, but, most go on to have happy, healthy lives and give joy and love to those who adopt them.
My rescue is based out of our home and on our ranch. I am not a shelter and do not have an "open door" policy. When I answer the phone it will not reflect the name of my rescue. It is our home phone
I network with many rescue organizations and "no kill" shelters to place dogs in local shelters as well as help adopt our dogs.
My adoption fee for adult small dogs is $150. They are spayed/neutered, rabies, annual boosters before being adopted. Puppies are $200 The fees go directly into my medical fund to treat sick or injured dogs and puppies that come thru my rescue.
HELPFUL INFO
Please do not allow your new puppy to put his feet on the ground anywhere but your home. When you go to Petco, Petsmart, walks around the neighborhood, puppy must be carried. If he picks up Parvo on his feet and licks his foot, he will get gravely sick and will die without treatment. They will NOT be protected until after their 4th shot. Parvo & Distemper kill puppies.
Your puppy should remain IN YOUR HOME until it receives the final vaccination.
