News
We are a small group that formed to help the homeless, neglected, abused animals of Matagorda County. We have come a long way with finding homes for so very many strays and turn-ins that we get at the shelter. We also have had a great support from rescue groups from all over who have helped save the lives of many dogs.
Who We Are
We are Friends of the Bay City Animal Shelter.
Adopting a friend
Adoption fees are $95.
Dogs: Spay/neuter, shots (rabies & distemper), wormed (hook & round), heartworm smear, dip for fleas & ticks, 1st month heartworm preventive and microchip.
Cats: Spay/neuter, shots (rabies, distemper & feline leukemia), wormed (hook & round), feline aids & leukemia test, flea treatment and microchip.
The shelter is located at the Bay City Animal Hospital. Hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m.
