A Low Cost Vaccination Clinic will be held the last Saturday of each month at the Walgreens located at 1507 W Pleasant Run Rd in Lancaster from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please visit www.lowcostvet.net for more information.
Fees are minimal, small dogs, puppies and cats are $15.00 plus rabies and large dogs are $25.00 plus the required rabies vaccination. The adopting family must provide a pre-paid receipt from a vet for the rabies shot prior to adopting the pet. All animals are required to be spayed/neutered at owner's expense within 30 days of adoption. For information on adoptions please call (972) 218-1210
The City Of Lancaster is dedicated to preventing cruelty to animals. We provide and protect the abandoned, abused, orphaned, and unwanted animals in our community and attempt to find them loving homes. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of the facility, the attention to the animals, and the ability to work with reputable rescue organizations. Donations of dry food, leashes, carriers, newspaper, towels and miscellaneous pet supplies are always welcome at the shelter.
We are located at 690 E Main Street. The adoption hours are from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, Wednesday Thursday and Friday. Tuesday from 9:00 a .m. to 12:00 p.m. Sorry we are closed on Saturday and Sunday.
