We are a county shelter serving the city of Rockport, town of Fulton and all of Aransas County. Our guests are animals found running loose and pets given up by thier owners. All animals in this facility are posted on petfinder and also checked against our file of lost pets. If the animal is not claimed within three days they are evaluated and placed for adoption. Our goal is to see them all go to good homes where they will be happy. Please help us make that happen.

We may have a new facility, but with the overwhelming population of feral and unwanted pets, our facility stays full. Please do your part in helping all these wounderful animals find happy and loving homes. Ask us about the Spay/Neuter program provided by the local Humaine Society!!
Our Caring Staff
We are a Shelter made up of 3 Officers and 2 Kennel Assistants.
Officer Alice Cerda has been an employee of Aransas County since May 2004.
Officer Audrina Crisp has been an employee of Aransas County since September 2006.
Officer Shaune Dunn has been an employee of Aransas County since September 2009.
Kennel Assistant Kathleen Jones has been an employee of Aransas County since Novemver 2009.
Kennel Assistant Latisha Cross has been an employee of Aransas County since February 2010.
We accept any and all donations generously given by people who care what happens to our animals.
A list of items we are currently in need of :
Pet taxi all sizes (we use them for evacuation during a disaster),
Dog and cat food,
Cat litter,
Collars for both dogs and cats,
Leashes,
Toys for both dogs and cats, and
Treats for both dogs and cats.
Our adoption fee is a flat rate of $30.00 for dogs and cats. This does not include the vaccines for the animals; you are still responsible for getting them on your own. All animals (cats and dogs) that are adopted from this facility are required by state law to be fixed within 30days of the adoption, depending on age. This service is provided to you at no cost by the local Humane Society.

We are open Monday thru Friday 7am - 7 pm and Saturday thru Sunday 8 am - 6 pm. With pet visitation from 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm Monday thru Thursday. 9am-12pm and 2pm-4pm on Friday. 2pm-4-pm on Saturday and Sunday
