Petfinder is a wonderful program and if anybody knows a shelter that is not on Petfinder.com they need to get them here. We have been so blessed to have this as additional help to our shelter, and have adopted at least one-hundred animals out of our shelter because of Petfinder.
All pets that are adopted from this shelter must be spayed or neutered as a part of the adoption contract. They also must be vaccinated regularly as apart of the contract.
Who We Are
We are the local pound, or preferable name, animal shelter, that houses many pets a week, month, year, even day. The people who put the pets on Petfinder are volunteers and do this out of their love for animals. At the shelter there are many great people who work there. They don't always like what they have to do, but yet it has to be done. On a brighter note, they put animals in the local newspaper for a "Pet of the Week," and on the city intranet, in addition to Petfinder.
Adopting a friend
The animals on our pet list have adoption fees that range from $19.00, to $51.00, depending on age, whether or not they have been spayed or neutered, and whether or not they are current on their shots. All animals that reach the shelter are there at least three days before they are up for adoption. Nearly all pets on our pet list are already up for adoption by the time they are put on. If you would like to contact us, please do not email. We would love to personally reply to all emails, but time does not allow. Please feel free to call or come by our shelter between the hours of 9am and 5pm on Monday through Friday, or on Saturday from 10am to Noon. The shelter is closed on Sundays.
