News
With the launching of our new website, you’ll see
a link for “Referral Dogs”, that section has been made available to allow
anyone who currently has pets that are available for adoption but are still
with the original owners/rescuers. If you’re interested in listing your pet,
please send a picture and detailed info on your pet (i.e. Age, sex, special
needs if any, breed if known, and restrictions if any). Send all listings to Webmaster@TipofTexK9Rescue.Org
All listings without info will NOT be posted, so do not forget to include all
pertinent information on your friend.
We've recently
added an Urgent section to our website, this will allow us to put up the most
critical cases, or animals that have recently become available for adoption. We
always have several dogs that urgently need to find a forever home. Please
visit www.TipofTexK9Rescue.Org for more information. We are currently looking
for foster families in the Rio Grande Valley area. Please contact us directly
if you're interested in learning more about our foster
care program. We would also like volunteers in helping with transport and
or communicating with local shelters. Any help is greatly appreciated, and as

Who We Are
Tip of Tex K-9
Rescue is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) association that receives no outside funding.
It is managed on a daily basis by one person with the help several generous
foster homes. Tax-deductible donations of cash, food and wish list items are
always needed and greatly appreciated. Tip of Tex K-9 Rescue is dedicated to
rescuing dogs and placing them in loving homes. The main focus of our program
is spay or neuter of every animal prior to placement. We are dedicated in our
efforts to save animals from pounds, which may not otherwise be placed for
adoption. Tip of Tex K-9 Rescue is a no kill rescue and will not euthanize any
animal because it cannot find a home. When a dog is not adoptable, and after
we've exhausted all possibilities of finding the dog a loving home... he or she
will live out his/her life in our facility.
Adopting a friend
Our foster care
and adoption programs are the cornerstones of our organization. We bring
homeless dogs into the homes of our foster care volunteers, where they are
loved and cared for until they can be placed in permanent homes. This unique
approach allows us to provide very personalized care to each dog. Veterinary
care is provided, as well as training and socialization. Our adoptions are 100%
totally guaranteed. If for any reason you are unhappy with the pet or if you
can no longer care for the pet please return that pet back to Tip of Tex K 9
Rescue. We will always attempt to match the right pet with the right person or
family. We want every pet to go to a FOREVER home with a wonderful caring
family who will be responsible pet owners. In the event that Tip of Tex K-9 Rescue
feels that the dog is not being cared for or adequately provided for, we will
terminate any adoption contract, and retrieve the dog.
