Who We Are

The Plainview Humane Society is a no-kill shelter located in Plainview, Texas. We work with the Plainview Animal Control to take in owner surrenders and strays. We work very hard to take care of our dogs and cats, and although we are a small shelter, we often adopt to out-of-state adopters by shipping or arranging alternate travel. We are all volunteers.

Adopting a Friend

If you want to adopt a dog or cat, call or email for an appointment. You can also come to our shelter from 4-5:30 Monday through Friday. Be sure you are ready for a new addition to your family and that you know what kind of pet you are looking for.

The adoption fee is $75 for dogs and $50 for cats. It includes for dogs altering, microchipping, bordetella (kennel cough) vaccine, an adult booster (DHLPP) shot, and rabies. For cats it includes altering, microchipping, rabies, and an adult feline booster.

Cats adopted from us are to be strictly indoor cats.

All dogs are inside pets regardless of housetraining, however, all homes must have a fenced yard.
