MEET HANNAH.
Hannah is a special piggy. When she came to the rescue she was suffering from a bumble foot infection caused by her previous care giver keeping her on a wire bottom cage. She went through several drug treatments and soaking therapies, including antibiotics being implanted directly into the foot. Finally, after almost 1 year of daily treatments, her foot healed. This is not an isolated case of the type of piggy we rescue, and these extensive treatments are expensive. Donations to help piggies like Hannah are always greatly appreciated.

Texas Rustlers Guinea Pig rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and adoption of abandoned, neglected and / or abused Guinea Pigs.
We are committed to rescuing any abandoned Guinea Pig, (that we are made aware of) at a City Animal Services facility within the Dallas / Fort Worth (DFW) area, without regard to age, temperament, condition or adoptability. We are organized for the following purpose (s):We do request a $25 adoption fee for each piggie adoption, which goes towards some of our operating costs. We do not adopt piggies as gifts. We do not adopt piggies as a classroom or day care pet nor as a pet for any setting with a group of children. We do not adopt to children, but we do adopt to families with children. We only adopt Guinea Pigs in pairs or as a friend to an existing piggy. We do not allow our Guinea Pigs to be housed in store bought cages due to lack of space. We do not allow our Guinea Pigs to be used for the purposes of breeding, showing or experimentation. We prefer not to adopt to families with children under the age of 6 years; this can be waived if children are proven to handle the Guinea Pigs in a responsible manner, or will not be allowed access to the Guinea Pigs.
