Who We Are

BARK is a non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status. We are all volunteers and donate our time, energy and finances. BARK meets the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Clifton Civic Center. Currently our only source of operating income is through donations and fundraising. Our success depends upon the generosity of our community and the tireless energy of our super volunteers. BARK's focus is spay and neuter in order to reduce the stray and unwanted pet population. Our goal is to someday only use our shelter to house lost pets until their owner can come and claim them. In other words, we work toward a day when unwanted animals are no longer roaming our communities and all pets are in loving homes. Currently BARK has embarked on a trap-neuter-release program for free roaming cats.

How to Help BARK:

• Volunteer: BARK is run entirely by volunteers... we receive no government funding. So volunteering is a wonderful way to help BARK and the community. We always need help walking dogs, playing with cats, transportation to vet appointments/shelter transfers, fundraising/planning, TNR, facility maintenance and more! Please see our Volunteer Opportunitites page for more information.
• Fostering: Can't adopt, but want to help? Please consider fostering one of our rescue animals. It is a rewarding and oh so needed way to help pets get a second chance at life. BARK is always in need of loving foster homes for temporary sanctuary. For more informaton, please see the Fostering section of our website.
• Donate: You can donate to BARK in many ways. In addition to money, we are also in need of supplies and services on our Wish List. BARK can use these wish list items to furnish the new building and to continue our mission to help animals.
