CAP receives NO government funding. We are able to help the animals only through donations from people like you who want to help homeless animals. Please consider sending us a donation. The money will be put to good use.

Randalls Remarkable Card - The Randalls Good Neighbor Number for Citizens for Animal Protection is 758. Please give this number to your checker (prior to checkout) telling them you want this number linked with your Remarkable Card. This number will remain as a link to your card and each purchase will be helping CAP to help save animal's lives. Click here for a printable version of the Randalls info.

Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program - Download the Kroger Customer letter here: Kroger Share Letter.
Take the letter with you to your neighborhood Kroger store the next time you go shopping. Present the letter with the CAP barcode to your cashier upon checkout. After they have scanned your KrogerPlus Card you will be enrolled for the current year of the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. Every time you shop at Kroger and use your enrolled KrogerPlus Card, Kroger will contribute a percentage of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation fund benefitting CAP. Once a card is scanned with the barcode, it will be active for the remainder of the program year.

Dogs (over 6 months of age) - $99.00

2nd Dog (over 6 months of age) - $79.00

Dogs over 15lbs - $99.00

2nd Dog over 15lbs - $79.00

Puppies (6 months and younger) - $129.00

2nd Puppy (6 months and younger) - $109.00

Small Dogs 15lbs and under - $129.00

2nd Small Dog under 15lbs - $109.00

Cat Adoption Fees - $40.00

2 for 1 Cat Adoption Fee - $50.00 (includes Rabies vaccination for 2nd cat)

Kitten ( 6 months and younger) - $79.00

2 for 1 Kittens - $79.00 for the summer (includes Rabies vaccination for 2nd kitten)

Small Dog or Puppy/Cat Combo - $149.00

Regular Dog/Cat Combo - $119.00

VIP (Very Important Pet!) Program: Any dog who has been at the shelter for more than 2 months can be adopted for $55

Special Senior Citizen Adoption Fee - No charge (adopt an animal 7 yrs or older)

Bunnies - $40.00 or 2 Bunnies - $60.00

Guinea Pigs $20.00 or 2 guinea Pigs - $30.00

Ferrets $50.00 to $69.00 (Depending on age)

Hamsters/Rats/Gerbils - $10.00

Iguanas - $65.00

Call for information on birds.


CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $316. In addition, these minimal adoption fees cover only part of the each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
