We moved into our new facility in July of 2009. It boasts glass front cages for all adoptable animals, seperate kennels for stray and adoptable dogs, cage free hallways, an open reception area, a huge HVAC system to handle the entire building, a workroom with a dishwasher, washer, and dryer (all commercial), an employee break room, and work stations for the animal control officers! We are so excited and cannot wait to see what a difference a new building makes! Please come by and take a look, we are very proud of our new facility.
Our grand opening celebration was Saturday, August 15th and we had a great turnout of supporters, from our fabulous mayors, to our dedicated city council members, citizens, previous adopters, and adopted pets. Thanks so much for helping us make our grand opening a success! A special thank you to our sponsors: Doug Stanley Ford, Christian Radio 910 AM, Coomes Air Conditioning and Heating Service, Karla's Grooming and Doggie Day Care, Animal Hospital of Ovilla, and the Friends of Tri-City Animal Shelter.

Who We Are
We are a municipal animal shelter that serves the cities of Cedar Hill, Desoto, and Duncanville. That means that not only to we take care of the animals that Animal Control picks up in those cities, if you find a stray animal in one of those cities, you can bring it to us. Also, if you have proof of residency in Cedar Hill, Desoto, or Duncanville, you can surrender your pet to the shelter if you can no longer care for it.
The mission of the Tri-City Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is to provide exemplary care for the impounded and unwanted animals through redemption, adoption, and public education.
The vision of the Tri-City Animal Shelter & Adoption Center is to work as a team to make a postive difference in the lives of people and animals.
