We Need Dog Toys!!
It gets boring here for the animals and they could really use some toys to help pass the time. Kongs are a favorite! The best toy would be a friend that will come play with the dogs and kitties. Stop by the shelter to learn how to volunteer!(and Max says please bring a ball...)
We are always in need of cat litter, kitten food and puppy food. Donations of any kind are gladly accepted. You are welcome to come see us at our new shelter with your donation. You can also mail donations:

Our animals need your help! We depend a great deal on donations. In the case of sick or injured animals, your cash donations are crucial for an animal to be rescued. All cash donations go towards medications to treat injured and sick animals until their owner can be found or they can be adopted. Examples of what is needed are: Medications for treating basice illnesses like upper respiratory, hookworms, roundworms, pinworms, mange ringworm. We can aslo have dogs tested for parvo, heartworms and get the first round of shots before they get out the door.

There is a medical fund account setup at the Corinth Veterinary Clinic. You may donate directly to the medical fund. Dr. Eddy has made it very easy for people to make donations. You can mail a check, send a letter with your credit card information, call the office with your credit card information or go by in person to make your donation.

Please be sure to tell them it is for the Lake Dallas Animal Shelter medical fund!

Who We Are

We are a small shelter but no matter how crowded we become we try our best to find homes for as many of our animals as possible. Every one deserves a chance!

Adopting a friend

To adopt a new family member,an adoption form must be filled out and Adoption fee of $10.00 per animal is charged. If you live in our city a $5.00 per year city registration fee is also required with proof of rabies vaccination. We do require, in our city, that all pets..and this includes cats and dogs, be enclosed in a secure enclosure or on some sort of restraint at all times. This is for the safety of your pets. Call us if you need more information on this or any other animal related city ordinances.

Want to help but can't take on another animal?
Come and adopt a Hoodie or T-Shirt. Sizes are in kids and adults. Prices are $15 for T-Shirts and $25 for Hoodies. Get them while they last! Remember 100% of donations go to our animals care! Ball caps comming soon!

Did you know...

It is a Texas State Law that all pets have an annual rabies vaccine!
Most cities require that cats and dogs be registered every year! Contact your local animal services for details.

Remember to keep your ID/Rabies tags on your pets at all times! You never know how important that is until they are lost!

From Lewisville:

35N Over Lake Lewisville to the Lake Dallas/ Denton Dr exit. (the exit is for both Denton Dr on the left and Hickory Creek is to the right). At the 2nd stop sign (Hundley) turn right. Go past the City Park and schools to Lakeview. Turn left on Lakeview. Follow road all the way down past horse stables. (2 more stop signs) We are on the left side just past the hard curve. Cream rock color building/blue trim.

From Denton:

35S to the Swisher Rd exit. Turn under the Highway (this will place you on to Swisher going east) You will make a right on to Shady Shores. Take Shady Shores to Hundley (second stop sign) and make a left on Hundley. Take Hundley past the park and schools) turn left onto Lakeview. Follow road all the way down (2 more stop signs) past horse stables. We are on the left side just past the hard curve. Cream rock color building/blue trim.
