The City of Hurst Animal Services is also a housing facility for the animals for the City of Colleyville. Colleyville residents must pay all fees at the City of Colleyville Police Department (817) 503-1250. and provide a receipt to the City of Hurst Animal Shelter prior to release of any animal that has been impounded. We greatly appreciate and accept donations: POWDERED LAUNDRY SOAP, LIQUID DISHSOAP, PAPER TOWELS, BLEACH, CANNED DOG/CAT FOOD, litter, newspaper, old blankets, old bath towels, pet carriers, toys, leashes, collars, shampoo and treats. Thank you!!

Visit our website at : www.ci.hurst.tx.us If you would like to adopt a pet from Hurst Animal Services the following is required: Satisfactory filling out of our questionnaire/application. Adoption Contract , a valid driver's license, proof of residency (ADOPTERS DO NOT HAVE TO BE RESIDENTS OF HURST). If you are renting, a pet agreement from your landlord is required. Signing of an adoption contract/sterilization and vaccination agreement. All adoptions are subject to supervisor approval.The adoption fee is $100. This includes: Spay/Neuter, Rabies, Microchip, 1st set of vaccinations, initial worming, Heartworm testing for dogs (dependant on age of animal) and Felv/FIV/Heartworm testing in cats, and a bath. Our staff transports the animals to and from the veterinarian and the adopter can pick up the adopted pet, the following afternoon.

We are located at 891 Cannon, Hurst, Texas 76054 (817) 788-7216. We sit between Grapevine Hwy and Precinct Line Road in North Hurst. We are available for service calls and owner pick -up, Mon-Fri from 7am-6pm. Our shelter is open to the public Monday through Friday from 1 p.m.- 6 p.m. for PUBLIC ADOPTIONS. Saturday 7a.m. - 4 p.m. for service calls, PUBLIC ADOPTIONS, from 12 noon to 4 p.m. We are closed to the public on Sunday.
