Pet of the Week
Bruno is a wonderful mixed breed, he is 3 years old and weighs about 30 lbs. Bruno has been adopted several times, but the familes decided it would be best for them to resurrender him back to us. So he is looking again for that just right family to love him and care for him.
Bruno gets along well with the other fosters in his foster home. He is a very active boy, so will need room to run and play.
Call us today and come and meet with Bruno, he will melt your heart.
Bruno has been neutered, micro-chipped, is up to date on his vaccinations and is on heart worm preventative. He is ready to go home with and will make a perfect addition to you family.

Who We Are
--The Van Zandt County Humane Society's funding consists solely of membership fees, adoption fees, personal contributions, and various fund-raising activities.
All monies that are donated and are from donations are applied towards the animals. There is no salary to pay as we are all volunteers.
Our membership includes individuals who provide foster homes for the animals until adoption. The VZCHS will continually demonstrate its commitment to the principles of humane care and professional treatment for all injured, ill, stray, or unwanted animals.-
The Gifted Animal Placement (GAP) program is being utilized by the VZCHS. This program is the first step in determining a dog's qualifications for drugs, bomb or human detection, therapy and other human human assistance needs, and other valuable traits.

--We currently do not have a shelter. All our animals have foster parents. We are always in need of good foster homes, if you are ready to commit to helping a dog in need, contact us. WOULD YOU LIKE TO FOSTER DOGS AND/OR CATS THAT ARE WAITING FOR THEIR "FOREVER" FAMILY?
VZCHS builds pens, supplies food and meds and take care of the spaying/neutereing. YOU get to love the homeless animals and bring them to the adoption clinics. Then,. when your foster animal is adopted, you laugh for their good fortune and cry at the loss of an animal friend that received your heart and soul.
If you love animals, this is a joyous calling. If you love animals, you will meet some of the nicest people ever! Who will ensure these animals safety, health and a loving family , if not YOU.
