Pet of the Week--Amy
Amy is a beautiful brindled girl with a very soft coat. She is a little shy and will need lots of affection, but will bond quickly once she is accustomed to her new home. She plays well with her foster buddies. Amy would love some children of her own to take care of. Amy has been spayed, micro-chipped and is on heart worm preventative. She is up to date on all vaccinations.

Who We Are
--The Van Zandt County Humane Society's funding consists solely of membership fees, adoption fees, personal contributions, and various fund-raising activities. All monies that are donated and are from donations are applied towards the animals. There is no salary to pay as we are all volunteers. Our membership includes individuals who provide foster homes for the animals until adoption. The VZCHS will continually demonstrate its commitment to the principles of humane care and professional treatment for all injured, ill, stray, or unwanted animals.- - --Adoptions Fees: $60.00 for dogs; $60.00 for cats. -- Acquiring a dog or cat costs more than the adoption fee. Remember to include basic and emergency veterinary care, toys, supplies and food.

--We currently do not have a shelter. All our animals have foster parents. We are always in need of good foster homes, if you are ready to commit to helping a dog in need, contact us.
