About Us
The Canyon Lake Animal Shelter Society, (CLASS), runs a NO-Kill non-profit Animal Shelter for the Greater Canyon Lake Area and Comal County. We are a volunteer-run organization and gladly welcome pet-friendly individuals, new members and working volunteers who are interested in helping us achieve our goal of zero unwanted animals in our community.
As a non-profit organization we appreciate all the support and donations from our community. Vaccination and Spay/Neuter Clinics:
- PENDING. Please call to get on our waiting list for your pet's spay/neuter surgery. 830-899-2527
November 2008:
- Thur., 11/27 HAPPY THANKSGIVING! We will be closed Thanksgiving Day and Nov. 28th.
December 2008:
- Sat., 12/6, 12/13 and 12/20 Photos with Santa Claus. Bring your Children or Pets to get their picture taken with Santa Claus. C.L.A.S.S. Shelter 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. $7 each or 2 for $10.
- Who wants to wrap presents? WE DO!!! Bring your gifts by the shelter and we'll wrap them for a small fee. It's a great way to make your holidays easier while making the season brighter for the animals!
Coming in January:
- By appointment Kennel Training (30 min class for $20.00) includes 10 min video, 10 min instruction, and 10 min of question and answer. Standard Obedience with Sandra Parker ($10.00 a trick or command) includes sit, stay, shake, lay, wait, heel, speak, and a few others. Will give advice for potty training, chewing and behaviors. Call closer to January to set appointments.

Donations of these items will help us continue to offer low-cost services to the public. Thank You!!!
Adoption
Our basic adoption fee of $50 for cats and $130 for dogs includes vaccinations (to date), de-worming, any testing required, spaying/ neutering, and all medical care the pet receives while at the shelter. Also included is a microchip. Approved adoption application and signed contract form is the simple step required before taking home that special pet. Also, the kind people here at PetFinder provide 2 months free health care for new pet(s)!

All volunteers must be at least 13 years old. We are looking for dedicated people who are serious about making a commitment to these animals. You will find working with animals extremely rewarding.
