FOSTER HOMES NEEDED! -
We are looking for qualified foster homes. There are many dogs in our program who need a transitional home, until they find a permanent home. We hold adoptions every month, to help move them into permanent homes. We also have some dogs with special needs (heartworm treatment, older dogs) who need longer foster care. If you can help, please contact us. Your efforts will be greatly appreciated!
D/FW Sheltie Rescue Lost & Found
In addition to finding homes for our Shelties, D/FW Sheltie Rescue is dedicated to finding owners of lost Shelties. We post information on these dogs on our homepage. We also play in active role in helping owners look for their lost dogs. If you have lost or found a Sheltie in the D/FW area, please contact us so we can post that information on our website and use our resources to help reunite Shelties and their owners.

Adopting a Friend
Our dogs live in foster homes where their health and personalities are evaluated and matched with qualified, caring, permanent homes. Our goal is to place our dogs for life, as they often have been through so much already by the time they come to us. We require an application process and a home visit. Due to increased vet costs, our adoption fees have changed. We are now using a sliding scale as follows: $250 for adults 1 - 9 years; $275 for pure bred puppies up to 1 year; $150 for ages 10 and up, and in the case of our current litter of Sheltie mix puppies, the adoption fee will be $150. We reserve the right to make adjustments in the case of special situations and circumstances.
Adoption Steps
If you are interested in adopting a Friend, please fill out an adoption application and return to Sheltie Rescue. For more information visit our website listed below. Or you can find the application at:

The next time you give your Tom Thumb Reward Card to the cashier, tell him that you would like a portion of your purchase amount to be credited to Dallas/Ft. Worth Sheltie Rescue. Our Reward account number is 1559. He will enter that number to your card. From then on, unless you change it, every time you use your Reward card, Sheltie Rescue will automatically benefit. Thanks for helping us help the dogs!
