Everman Animal Control is dedicated to the education of the public on responsible pet ownership through rabies clinics, licensing programs and field enforcement. The care of stray and unwanted animals and finding a new loving home to place them in.
Adopting a friend
Everman has a wide variety of dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. We charge a $20.00 adoption fee and require that a contract for rabies and sterilization be signed. Plus anyone wanting to adopt has to fill out an application of adoption so our Animal Control can help you find a animal that would be best for your family. The only exception that we do have for our animals on adoption price is if they are current on shots and fixed. If you would like to have the adoption application sent to you, please email Animal Control and we will send you a copy through email so we can go ahead and get a head start on the adoption.
Also, all animals that will reside within the city must acquire a city license. The cost is $4.00 and may be purchased at the Everman Animal Shelter, the police department, or Saturdays at our Adopt-A-Pet events. You will need to bring a copy of proof of current rabies vaccination. If you have more than one pet, each one needs to be registered.
Donations
Everman Animal Control accepts donations of pet food, kitty litter, old bedding, chew toys, news papers, bleach, laundry detergent. Everman Animal Control would like to say thank you for all the items that people have been donating to the shelter. Each and everyone of you have made a difference with these animals.
