Hands 4 Paws is a Non Profit Animal Rescue, but we don't stop there, we're an animal welfare group as well. Hands 4 Paws true mission from our hearts is to save, educate and inspire. We hope that we can stop overpopulation by giving pet owners the resources needed to Spay/Neuter there furry friends at a low cost and why it is so important to do this. Hands 4 Paws continues its mission past just giving you the resources for low cost spay/neuter but for continued medical care, nutrition and pet care, traveling, and training. Our dream is to someday not have to rescue animals from euthanasia because every pet will have a loving home. We realized that we must do all of these things in our community for this dream to become a reality and hope that others take it with them where ever they may go and inspire the world. Hands 4 Paws has inspired many people to network animals, spay/neuter their pets, seek training for behavioral issues, and properly care for their pets and to take their furry friends with them when they move. We truly believe in time this will lead us all to our dream of Every Pet having a loving home.
? You can rest assure when adopting a homeless pet from Hands 4 Paws you're gaining a life time friend. All our animals are temper tested and fully vetted including Spay/Neuter, Vaccines, Micro-chip and HW/FIV tested. We also give all our animals HW/Flea/Tick Prevention during their stay with our carefully screened foster homes. When you adopt one of our shelter survivors you not only save that one animals life but the life of another that will now takes its place in our rescue and gives dogs and cats still in our local shelters a little more time to be rescued or adopted. Our team offers specialized, compassionate help for your adoption journey and understands that this is a life changing event for you, your family and the animal you’re adopting. We help you make the right decision when picking your forever friend and offer support to you after your adoption. Each animal that comes through H4P is a life time commitment for us and should be the same for you with your new adopted family member. If at any time in the animal’s life you find yourself in unforeseen circumstances and can no longer keep the pet adopted from us, we take pride in placing them back in our rescue and finding them a carefully screened home in which both pet and adoptive family meet each other’s needs.
All adoptions require a completed and approved application. Once your application is approved a H4P Representative will set up a meet and greet for you and your whole family to spend some time getting to know the pet you’re interested in adopting. You will then have 24 hours to contact us back to let us know you want to go through with your adoption. A H4P Representative will make an appointment to do a home check which will be submitted for approval. We require your home to be safe for the pet you’re looking to adopt. Once approved your new family member will be brought to your home and the adoption fee is due and a contract will be signed. You will also receive all vetting paperwork including microchip information and a “Happy Tail” photo will be taken. This is a special moment in all our lives and what better way to never forget that magical day when the love of your life finally joins your family then with a photograph. We will send you your picture via email and we may use it on our website or Facebook page. Hands 4 Paws has many fans that watch these animals from the day they join our rescue, through medical treatment and care to the day the leave us. We look forward to taking this amazing journey with you and hope you find love here.
*We do not reserve or "hold" dogs/cats. There is no guarantee that the dog/cat you apply to adopt will still be available for adoption once your application has been processed. Our dogs/cats are not adopted on a "first come first served basis", rather dogs/cats are placed in the home environment that best meets the dog's/cat's needs.
Hands 4 Paws Rescue is a 501c3 non-profit organization in Bell County TX which is dedicated to rescuing abandoned, abused, neglected, sick and injured animals primarily from high kill shelters. Founded in July of 2011 we are a 100% volunteer group and with the help of local veterinarians, trainers, local businesses, foster homes and volunteers we are able to save hundreds of dogs and cats from euthanasia every year. Once healthy and rehabilitated a carefully screened home will be chosen and continued educational support given for the duration of the animal’s life. We are also a resource for education for all animal lovers and pet parents in the importance of spaying and neutering, veterinarian visits and medical care, positive reinforcement training, good nutrition and safe traveling with your pets.
