Who We Are

What's it all about? There is an area of Houston, TX just east of I-59 off Little York - apparently the dividing line for the county and city Animal Controls. Its about a mile strip of road that is called the Corridor of Cruelty. Veer off to the left or right along any point and see the same everywhere - abandoned and starving dogs, in pain and suffering. Here, trash and animals are discarded without thought on a regular basis.

Donate to Our Rescue Group

For us, its all about making a difference in the Corridor!

MISSION:
To aid in the rescue of hard to capture dogs and cats. To rescue and rehabilitate diseased and injured dogs. To facilitate the rescue of animals mainly from the Corridor of Cruelty but also from other areas of Houston. To educate about spay/neuter and animal cruelty laws.

Corridor Rescue Inc. is an all breed 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable animal rescue organization. All contributions made are tax-deductible! Thank you for your help!

Adopting a friend

We require all potential adopters to complete our adoption application. Please contact corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com or visit our website to fill out our online adoption application - www.corridorrescue.org

After review of your application, a rescue volunteer will contact you. We will check veterinary references on all current pets or any that you have had in the past 3 years. We conduct a home visit by appointment to meet family members, other pets, and to evaluate home safety conditions. If we feel the potential adoption is a good match for the family and the pet, then we proceed with placing the animal on a "trial adoption". We want to be sure that your new pet is right for you!

Fostering

Fostering is a very rewarding experience and Corridor Rescue is always in need of new and more foster homes. Since we provide our fosters with everything (vetting, food, toys, crates, blankets, you name it!), all it takes on your part is to provide some love and time in your home to give adoptable pets a stepping stone towards their forever home. The more foster homes we have, the more dogs we can save from the streets! Want more information? Read over PetFinder's articles: Pet Fostering 101: What is fostering a pet and how do I start?, Fostering a Pet: Frequently Asked Questions, and Six reasons to Foster a Lonely Pet for the Holidays. When you decide that fostering is right for you, contact corridorrescueadopt@gmail.com or visit our website to fill out our online foster application fostering application - www.corridorrescue.org
