How You Can Help
Fostering:
If you are interested in adopting a new family pet, but are not sure which breed is right for you, then why not consider fostering? Fostering gives you a great opportunity to be exposed to different breeds, which is helpful when trying to find exactly the right match for your lifestyle. Fostering a homeless dog is extremely beneficial not only to us, but of course, to that special dog trying to find a new forever home. There is no better way to have a hands on experience with helping the adoption process then to open the door of your home to a homeless pet in need. We provide everything the dog needs, and all you provide is a loving and safe environment for them to stay for an interim time.
Sponsoring:
Additionally, our adoptable dogs are also available for sponsoring. Sponsoring can be a one time donation or monthly donations that will help us to pay for medical expenses and food while the dogs are in our adoption program. To sponsor a dog simply click on our "Donate" button below. Your sponsorship is tax deductible and goes 100% towards the feeding and care of our rescued dogs. If there is one dog in particular you would like to sponsor, please let us know through our email address listed below. In return, we will send you photos and updates on your sponsored dog through the entire adoption process. Sponsors can also set up appointments with our Dog Adoption Counselor to meet and greet the adoptable dog they are currently sponsoring. This is another great hands on way to be involved with the dog adoption process.
Volunteering:
If you live in the Lewisville area and would like to donate some of your time to help us out by volunteering, please email us !! We have many volunteer opportunities available and can really use your help! You tell us your interests, strengths, and skills and we can provide an opportunity that best suits your desires. You can choose as much or as little time as you want depending on your schedule. We have hands on opportunities, virtual opportunities, and fundraising/event opportunities. The choice is yours! For as little as 4 hours a week, you can make a difference in the life of a homeless dog.
Donating:
Make a one-time donation to Life Saver Rescue to help us pay for veterinary and food expenses for our rescued dogs. Donating is easy, and can be done through the PayPal system, by clicking the button below. All donations go 100% towards the rescue of a shelter dog in need. Receipts available upon request.
Who We Are
Life Saver Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless, abused, and neglected animals. Acting as a conduit for the community, our goal is to provide compassion and love to our rescued animals; support spay/neuter programs to reduce animal overpopulation; and provide training and education on animal behavior to assist our community on how to become better pet guardians.
Adopting a friend
Life Saver Rescue does not have a shelter location, or paid staff. We are dedicated volunteers that devote our time to help animals in need. All of our rescued animals are housed in foster homes, or in approved boarding facilities, until a new forever home is found. Anyone interested in adopting our pets should contact us directly at lifesaverrescue@yahoo.com. Potential adopters will be required to complete an adoption application, which includes a reference from your veterinarian. Once completed, a home visit will be scheduled. All current animals living in the home must be spayed/neutered in order for your application to be accepted.
