Who We Are

Dog Gone is comprised of a small group of individuals in North Texas involved in dog rescue on several different levels. We work in partnership with Red River County Humane Society, located in Clarksville, Texas.  The Humane Society is a 501(c)3 organization and operates entirely on volunteer efforts.  All donations and adoption fees go directly to help our dogs.

Our rescues are saved from severe abuse or neglect, picked up as strays / throw-aways, pulled from kill shelters, or surrendered by people who are no longer able to properly care for their pets.  They are immunized, spayed/neutered, treated for any injuries or illnesses, and placed in loving foster homes where they are well taken care of, socialized, and have a chance at finding their own forever families.

With the high  unwanted dog and cat population in North Texas, our goals are:

  1. Advocate adoption over purchase
  2. Promote and teach the benefits of spays/neuters
  3. Educate on the importance of immunizations & heart worm prevention
  4. Encourage training for all dogs and family members

We are always looking for foster homes and adoption day volunteers.  If interested, please contact us at DogGoneCanines@hotmail.com or come to one of our adoption events for information on how you can help save a life.

Donations are always appreciated.  All donation money goes directly to help the dogs.  Make donations out to Red River County Humane Society and  mail to:

Red River County Humane Society, PO Box 45, Clarksville, TX  75426.
