Visit us every Saturday at our Pup Squad Adoption Center, located at the Houston Pavillions downtown Houston at the corner of Fannin and Polk streets (diagonally across the street from Forever 21). Open every Saturday from 11:00am-3:00pm. For a list of all upcoming events for the year, visit www.pupsquad.org and click on the link "more events" at the bottom left corner.
If you are looking for a specific pup, be sure to email us because not all pups are at every event. Thanks!!
Who We Are
Our mission is to rescue orphaned puppies and nursing litters from the streets, shelters or other life-threatening situations and match them with permanent adoptive homes, and to provide support and education to these adopters and the community at large. We will work with other community rescue efforts to promote spay/neuter, adoption and humane animal care to ultimately reduce the number of animals euthanized in Houston and surrounding areas.
All of our animals are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. All animals in our program are fostered by individuals who keep the dog at their residence until it is adopted. Please consider becoming a foster parent and opening your home to a dog in need. Go to our Foster Page for more information about becoming a foster parent.
Adopting a friend
Pup Squad Animal Rescue works hard to find the perfect home for all the dogs in our care. Our adoption process is as follows:
1) All applicants must complete an Adoption Application first. Go to www.pupsquad.org and click on "Adopt." Then look for "Adoption Applications" and fill out the form online and hit "submit". If you are having trouble you can also download the form in either Microsoft Word or Adobe Acrobat. Save it to your computer, fill it out, and then email it to firstname.lastname@example.org.
2) After receiving your application, we will contact you to discuss your current situation and which pet you are interested in adopting.
3) After discussion, we will determine if we think this could be a potential good match. If so, we can arrange a time for you to meet your prospective new family member.
4) Upon agreement by all parties, sign adoption contract and pay the adoption fee for your newest family member. The adoption fee is $150 (As of March 1, 2011). This includes 2 distemper/parvo vaccinations, a bordatella vaccine, rabies vaccine, deworming, microchipping and surgery for spay/neuter.
Donations to help with necessary vet care are GREATLY appreciated. The adoption fee rarely covers all the expenses needed to care for one animal. Donations can be made by credit card or PayPal by clicking on the "Donate” button at the top of the page. Donations can also be made by sending a check payable to Pup Squad Animal Rescue to the address below. All contributions are tax deductible! Thanks!
