Who We Are
We are Killeen Animal Control,a section of the Killeen Police Department. We are NOT a NO Kill Shelter, Killeen Animal Control is a City Shelter, with a dedicated staff that always trys its best to find wonderful homes for its adoptable animals.
Adopting a friend
Adoptions are same day,on a First come First serve basis. We can not hold/reserve any pet for adoption. Goverment pictured identification is required. Adoptees must be 18 Years or older.Cash or local/Federal Check is accepted . Adoption Fees are $25 ($50 if spayed/neutered). Adoption hours are Monday-Friday 11 am to 4pm and Saturday& Sunday noon to 5 pm. The Shelters Operation hours are Monday-Friday 7am to 4 pm and Saturday&Sunday from 8 am to 5 pm.
We are open 7 days a week and are closed on city approved holidays.
We offer microchipping for $15 .No appointment neccessary.
Donation
To make a donation to our volunteer Vet care fund please make a cash or check Donation and bring/ send it to Killeen Animal Control.***CHECKS MUST BE WRITTEN PAYABLE TO KILLEEN VET CLINIC and brought to us*** To insure they will go to the right place.
All Donations are very much appreciated and will allow us to treat dogs with major medical conditions such as leg ambutations,broken bones, and lacerations. Most animals are hit by cars and YOUR Donation is making it possible to treat them for their injuries and place them up for adoption.
