Animal rescue, rehabilitation and adoptions in Wimberley, Texas.
ARF is a completely private, non-profit community service, a 501(c)(3) organization, that provides a central number for lost and found pets, rescue for those pets in need, and adoption service for people who must find their pet a new home.
We operate with our personal funds and donations from animal lovers all over. We are always caring for a number of wonderful pets to place in loving homes.

Adopting a friend
To adopt a cat or kitten please call Sonja on the ARF line at 512-847-2878. She will review the adoption procedure with you in detail. Please remember that an adoption fee of $50 to $75 is required for all ARF cats/kittens. A senior cat is $25 (senior in this case is classified as any cat over the age of 8 years). This fee may vary depending upon the pet's age, breed, and specific requirements. Our adoption fee includes the cat's spay/neuter. All kittens are dewormed and have received an FVI and FVL test. As a non-profit your adoption fee goes directly back into our rescue program so we can help other homeless cats and kittens.
To make arrangements for the adoption of one of our dogs please contact Gyvel at 830-833-1874 or gzy@txwinet.com (email is the preferred method of contact). There is an adoption fee for all dogs. This fee is:$125-$150 for a puppy or a young adult, and $80 for a senior. A full breed dog is $200. This fee includes up-to-date shots, d-worming, heart worm check, spay/neuter, and any other medical needs the dog might have needed. Your adoption fee goes right back into the rescue program to help other homeless dogs and puppies find a home. Families who desire a dog will need to have a fenced yard or a fenced area for their new pet. Families will also be required to complete a pre-adoption application and a home visit will be arranged prior to finalization of adoption. Families from outside our area will be responsible for all transportation expenses and an adoption can proceed only if a home visit can be arranged with a rescue agency in their area.
