Adopting A Friend

Adopting an animal is like adopting a new piece of self. It keeps our human lives grounded. Canines teach us about the simplicities of life and love. They don't know hate or contempt. They know love, food and continuity.

Laugh more, share more.....adopt more.

Our canines come fully vetted, altered, rabies certificate, home-trained, and socialized. Every adoption includes a crate. Adoption fee: $250

Who We Are

Our Mission
We have dedicated our lives to saving canines. We chose the American Pit Bull Terrier and their related breeds. There is no better experience than watching a mangled mess of a dog coming back from the edge. Watching the spirit of a champion emerge. They inspire and elevate our lives to a plateau of true enlightenment. This is not a hobby, it is our life, and the pack we are proud to be a part of. Sometimes I think it is us who have been rescued.

A NOTE FROM BILL BELLOTTIE, DBC FOUNDER:

I began my journey through the rescue and rehabilitation world in August of 2003. I was employed by a local animal welfare shelter. I have always been intrigued by the strength and beauty of the APBT. I began researching the breed and soon after, rescue. I began building relationships with established rescue groups nationwide. I approached the director of the shelter I worked at and began introducing the possibility of rescuing APBT's. It was initially met with skepticism. I was eventually able to prove that the APBT was able to be rehabilitated. I was accredited by two well-established APBT rescue groups. I was then able to rescue my first APBT (Amber). So began my journey to enlightenment...

In 2008 my horizons were broadened, both in my spiritual life and rescue world. I met a beautiful, strong-willed woman who would prove to be a motivational force. It was through her love for the Boxer that our rescue would take on a new stance. We would now become a "Bully Breed" rescue and rehabilitation. We would welcome any variation of the Molosser, "Bully Breed" strain of canine.
