Adopting a friend
The DFW Humane Society has a wide variety of pets available for adoption.
Usually you can take the pet home with you the same day.
For an adoption you will need to bring:
Texas Drivers License or SS#. with photo ID
Proof of address
Sincere 10-15 year commitment to the pet to provide proper care.
Cat Adoption fee of $85.00 includes:
Spay/Neuter,
Leukemia test,
FVRCP Vaccination,
General deworm,
Microchip,
Microchip Enrollment
Free Exam at Vet within 10 days of adoption
Temporary carrier to transport
Dog Adoption fee $100.00 ncludes:
Spay/Neuter
Heartworm Test (if old enough)
Distemper/ Parvo shot
Bordetella
General Deworm
Microchip
Microchip Enrollment
Free Exam at Vet within 10 days of adoption
Leash
* add 10.00 if rabies has been done during stay at the shelter.
