WE NEED YOUR HELP!

Volunteers are urgently needed to assist in fundraising, provide foster homes, and participate in activities to educate the public in responsible pet ownership and humane treatment of animals.

The Critter Shack is an all-volunteer non-profit charitable organization with three goals:

1. Advocate for the humane treatment of animals and stray animal control

2. Facilitate spay and neuter programs

3. Educate the public in animal care, behavior and humane treatment of animals

Critter Shack is funded solely by donations. In 2007, the organization has sponsored a spay and neuter clinic in Menard, rescued and adopted out 57 dogs, 46 cats, and other types of animals. More than 90% of the animals have been spayed or neutered. The dogs up for adoption are being fostered in the members' homes.
