Education and Animal Rescue Society (EARS)
Who is EARS?
Education and Animal Rescue Society is an all volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit Texas corporation whose mission is to educate the public about issues concerning animal behavior and proper care for pets including an emphasis on vaccinations, spay and neutering, and nutrition. Further, EARS is committed to finding homes for unwanted animals that would otherwise perish in shelters. EARS keeps all of its animals in homes with volunteer “foster families” where the animals are loved and treated like a part of the family until the right permanent home is found.
How do I adopt a friend?
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, then the first step is to please complete an Adoption Application and email it to us at adoptions@earstexas.org or fax it to us at 214-447-9632. Since we are an all volunteer group, please be patient with us in responding to your inquiries. Thank you for your interest in our adoption program!

How do I meet an EARS animal?
We do not have a shelter, but you can meet one of our animals by appointment once your adoption application had been processed and initially approved (final approval occurs right before the adoption is complete). Also, EARS has “Meet and Greet Days” at various local venues in the Dallas area.
Meet and Greet Days are an opportunity for you to meet some of our animals. Unfortunately, not all of our animals make it to every Meet and Greet Day so please contact us at adoptions@earstexas.org to check if your four-legged friend of choice will be available to meet you. (We do not do any onsite adoptions.)
Our next Meet and Greet Day will be posted here. Please check back for date, time and location.
How do I donate to EARS?
EARS gladly accepts credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) and PayPal donations online. Also, EARS gladly accepts donations in the form of checks sent to its address below. Since EARS is an all volunteer group, your donations go straight to help the animals. (The biggest expense EARS has is its veterinary costs.) Thank you for considering donating to EARS!
