Chandler is our featured pet this week. Chandler is a funloving young guy with plenty energy. He would do well with several members of a family to keep him busy or a very active single or couple. Chandler would be okay as an only dog as long as he was kept busy but would also do well with other dogs to play with
News
With the news of the most recent pet food recall we have had MANY inquiries about how and what we feed our rescue dogs. Rest assured, toxins in commercial dog food is NOT a new concept. This is one of MANY reasons that we feed a prey model raw diet. We are happy to teach and mentor anyone who is interested in learning about the diet that nature intended these dogs to eat.
Who We Are
Kindred Spirits Small Dog Rescue and Rehabilitation is a division of the Avalon Foundation, a 501C3 non profit corporation. We are a rescue group. We take these dogs into the homes of our volunteers and treat them like our own while we help them to rehabilitate physically and mentally. We feed a prey model all natural diet and use alternative treatments more often than allopathic medicine to help rehabilitate our dogs.
Adopting a friend
The first step to adopting one of our pets is to complete our application. Please email the address below and ask for an application. Once you complete it, please return it to the same email address.
We will process your application and help you find the best match for you. We are all volunteers and most of us have real jobs so please be patient with us. Adding a new family member is a big commitment and should not be rushed into.
Adoption Criteria
Kindred Spirits thoroughly checks references and carries out a comprehensive home visit before placing each animal.
We will want to talk with prospective owners about good nutrition, healthcare, proper handling, and all other aspects of responsible pet ownership. We are commited to finding the very best possible homes for our wonderful dogs and look for the same in those who are
interested in sharing their lives permanently with them.

Homes with children under 6 years of age.
Adopters under 21.
Adopters who are students.
