Precious Paws Asian and Small Breed Dog Rescue is a non-profit, charitable, all volunteer 501 (c) (3) animal welfare humane society. We receive no funding from the city, county or state and rely solely on donations and adoption fees to help the hundreds of babies we rescue each year. We are dedicated to rescuing Asian breed dogs such as the Shih Tzu, Lhasa Apso, Chinese Crested, Japanese Chin, Chinese Pugs, Tibetan Terrier and Pekingese. As well as when space permits, Yorkies, Maltese, Poodles and all small breeds. The majority of the animals we rescue come from "kill shelters". We believe strongly in helping the senior, fearful aggressive and special needs babies, most of whom never get adopted and will live out their lives in our foster homes. Our hearts command us to rescue the dogs in shelters who stand virtually no chance of making it out alive like mixed breeds, Pit Bulls, and black cats. We believe every animal is special and worthy of living a long and happy life. This is why we also rescue pigs, chickens, ducks, birds, horses and reptiles. Many of the above mentioned have been at our rescue in foster homes for 10 plus years where we have provided them a sanctuary with love and kindness where their every need is met.

We take these neglected, abandoned and sometimes abused animals in to our homes and give them any and every medical procedure that they need including vaccinations, heartworm testing, and spaying or neutering. We are a home based rescue with foster homes so our rescues can feel safe and secure in a home environment where they can be evaluated and placed in the best possible homes for their personalities. We never keep our rescues in crates or cages while at our rescue. They live in our homes as members of our families until they find their new "forever home". They share our homes, our beds and touch our hearts from the moment they arrive. We show them the love and kindness that most of them have never had. Once they are vetted and socialized, happy and healthy, they are then available for adoption. We choose loving, permanent homes, where they can finally live a life they could only dream of before. Once placed in our rescue, we are deeply committed to ensuring they are safe, humanely treated and loved each day for the rest of their lives.

Please visit our "main website" to see many photos of our beautiful adoptable dogs, before and after photos of our rescue babies and photos of our adopters. There you will also find our adoption policies, our adoption application and our adoption contract. There are lots of candid pictures of our precious rescue babies as well. We sincerely thank you for considering adopting a rescue pet and for supporting animal rescue.
