Who We Are

Miller's Mutts Rescue was previously listed as Dixie Animal Alliance and PetSense Cat Corner as we had cats available for adoption at the Dayton PetSense store's Adoption Center. PetSense has since closed and we have now moved to have cats available for adoption at the new The Village Pet store at 283 First Avenue in downtown Dayton. We currently have several indoor cats and kittens available for adoption that have been spayed/neutered and vaccinated. We also have the Outdoor/Barn Cat Program that provides low cost cats who have been spayed/neutered and given a rabies vaccination. We also have additional indoor and outdoor cats available for adoption in foster homes so please email us for information. Most cats available for either program we will list on this website.

Outdoor Cat Project

We are providing free spay or neuter and rabies vaccination of outdoor cats. Ideally the cat will be returned to its original location with an individual willing to feed and care for it. If the cat needs to be relocated, we are seeking barns/outdoor homes for cats with a commitment of three weeks of care and confinement as the cat adjusts to the new location and follow-up feeding and care once released. We are currently seeking outdoor homes and barns to receive cats as we already have a waiting list of cats to be relocated. If you are interested in volunteering, providing a home for a cat, or driving cats to Cleveland for their spay/neuter appointments, please call 423-567-3567. We are also more than happy to accept monetary donations, large crates, cat carriers, cat litter, litter boxes, cat food, and any other useful cat items.

Our Featured Pet...

Adopting a friend

Please call us about any of the cats listed on this site or to request a certain type of cat that we may be able to find for you. We will provide adoption applications and fee information upon request as it depends on the cat and the program the cat is available through. Some of the cats are available for you to meet at The Village Pet in downtown Dayton, Tennessee.

Giving Up a Pet

If you have an animal that needs to be re-homed, please call us at 423-567-3567. A volunteer will respond to you as soon as possible. There is extremely limited space available for housing cats, so do not expect a place for your cat immediately. We will also discuss other re-homing options with you once we have been contacted. We are always looking for foster homes for dogs and cats if you are interested. Please call for more information.

Donations

Donations can be made by cash or check (monetary or supplies). To make a donation you can contact us by phone or bring your donation to The Village Pet at 283 First Avenue, Dayton, TN (423-567-3567). We also accept any pet related items, food, cleaning supplies, etc. that we can use for animals in our program or to donate to animals in need.
