Magenta Skies Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue organization based in Memphis.  Our primary goal is to help homeless animals who have been abandoned in the streets or end up in area high kill shelters.  The horror that awaits them there is often a quick death simply because there are too many unwanted animals in the shelters.  Sometimes their previous owners can no longer care for them; sometimes they simply no longer want to.  That's where we come in.  

Magenta Skies is a home based rescue group that began after a visit to the local animal shelter. The initial visit was to pick up and foster a momma dog and a few puppies, but they were already gone when we arrived to pick them up. So Magenta Skies began with the rescue of four kittens. Even though the kittens were perfectly healthy, all four of them were under 2 pounds and scheduled for euthanasia within moments. They came home with our founder Donna Samuels and Magenta Skies Animal Rescue was born.

Here we are more than 2 years later  and Magenta Skies has found wonderful forever homes and loving families for countless dogs and cats.  Unfortunately there is no shortage of homeless pets needing to be saved from euthanasia so the work of rescue continues.

We are passionate about caring for and saving these animals but, as you can imagine, it is an expensive undertaking.  If you can sponsor an animal or donate funds, or supplies listed on our wish list, or volunteer time, please either call or email us.   We need angels like you!
