ADOPTED!!! (thank you to our friend Hollie @Clover for Rover for caring for him & finding him a fabulous FURever home, we are extremely grateful & forever in your debt. HUMPTY'S Story
Day 1: On Friday evening January 15, 2010 Robyn, Founder of Robyn's Nest Animal Rescue & Sanctuary got a call from one of the tellers at the local bank, that she had seen a white dog hanging around the exit of Whites Creek Pike & Briley Parkway. It looked like it had been shot in the head, could you please help him. It was already 9pm & extremely dark out, but Robyn headed out anyway to see if she could help. Her search of the intersection found nothing, but some hamburger wrappers, no sign of the dog. She would try again in the morning.

Who We Are
Robyn's Nest, founded in 2004, is a small grass roots animal rescue, dedicated to helping the stray, abandoned and abused animals in Nashville and surrounding areas.
Our secondary goal is to assist and educate residents in the area on proper care for their animals: the importance of spaying and neutering your animals, providing your pets with the proper vet care and upkeep, discouraging the tethering of dogs.
Since November of 2004 over 1800 animals (dogs, cats, horses, raccoons, deer, foxes, cows, turtles & frogs, just to name a few) have been rescued. All the animals are completely vetted and kept current on their vacinations. When old enough and healthy enough, all animals are spayed/neutered before going to their new forever homes. While under our care they receive training, socialization and loving care.
We are currently working on obtaining our 501(c) status.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to protect the welfare of the animals we come in contact with, and to promote the humane treatment and well being of these animals by:
  • Providing shelter and medical care for stray or abandoned animals in Nashville, TN and surrounding areas
  • Responding with personal commitment, humane sensitivity, compassion, and technical skill to the needs of these animals.
  • Actively promoting suitable adoptions of the animals.
  • Encouraging the spay and neutering of dogs and cats to ensure the numbers of unwanted animals be kept to a minimum; and helping to prevent cruelty to animals by promoting animal welfare and education.
  • Robyn's Nest Animal Rescue is a group of volunteer animal lovers whose mission is to rescue, provide sanctuary, and ultimately to re-home abandoned, stray and neglected animals.
  • A volunteer organization that operates on individual and corporate donations and fundraising proceeds. We do not receive any funding from government agencies or national animal welfare agencies. We are very fortunate to have a caring and dedicated team of volunteers, board members, and supporters.
  • Whenever possible we also assist those who, because of extenuating circumstances, are unable to remain in their homes with their owners. We are located in the Nashville, TN area.
  • All are housed or fostered in homes where they are provided with an enormous amount of love and any medical attention that may be required to insure that they are in good health before adoption.
  • All dogs/cats are spayed or neutered and brought up-to-date on shots before being placed in their new homes. When time permits, they are also house trained, crate trained and taught basic obedience.
  • All animals are evaluated for temperament and personality. This helps us to place them in homes that are well suited to their needs and to the needs of their future owners.
  • We work closely with other rescue groups and animal shelters.
  • To promote responsible pet ownership through humane education, and to provide shelter and care to domestic companion animals until a loving, responsible home can be found, or lost pets are reunited with their guardians.
