Who We Are

South Paw Animal Rescue and Sanctuary is a small animal rescue founded in 2007. We are an all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing puppy mill, abandoned, and unwanted small animals. Our volunteers are located throughout the United States and Canada. We are funded soley by charitable donations with 100% going directly to the care and medical needs of the animals we rescue. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to work together as a group, and in conjunction with other animal rescue groups, to rehabilitate, medically treat, spay/neuter, shelter, and place each animal we rescue into loving, quality forever homes. We will work to educate the public about the importance of spay/neuter and about proper and humane animal care and breeding. Every once in a while an animal we rescue is not adoptable due to behavioral or aggression issues. We give those animals sanctuary for the rest of their lives. We do not euthanize any animal unless recommended by a licensed veterinarian due to an animals incurable medical condition causing the animal unrelievable pain, suffering, and no quality of life.

Adopting a friend

All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, parasite free, and temperament tested prior to adoption unless otherwise noted. References and a Home Visit are required in order to adopt an animal from us. Adoption donations range from $100 to $350 depending on the age and health of the animal. If you are interested in adopting please fill out an adoption application at www.southpawrescue.org. The application is in the section "ADOPTION APPLICATION/Forms" on the left side of the page.
